New Years Presents

Growing up Joe's family had a tradition of getting a present in their shoe New Years day , so we decided to do that this year too. Although I think our presents were a little bigger then the ones he got growing up, because these wouldn't fit in our shoes! We opened them a bit early so we could use Joes present tonight with friends coming over to play!

Random Stuff

I spent my whole morning on the phone today(if you know me, you know I hate talking on the phone!). I found out last week that the hospital my doctor delivers at doesn't take my insurance (great thing to find out at 35 weeks pregnant!) So after using the online help thing for my insurance I found a hospital that takes my insurance and then spent the rest of the afternoon finding a new doctor that delivered at that hospital. My mom showed me this cool site called vitals.com where you can see pictures of the doctors before you go, so I looked through a bunch making sure they weren't creepy looking (there were A LOT of creepy looking ones! ha) I really wanted someone who could deliver the baby and also be the family doctor afterwards, and I wanted a lady because Ella was terrified of our last doctor! So that took FOREVER to find and after a few calls to doctors who were full for January deliveries, or not taking new patients, I got a new doctor. My first appointment is January 14th and my due date is the 18th, cutting it a little close eh, so hopefully I don't go into labor on the plane ride back from Oregon or I may not have a doctor! So that was my exciting morning...then Ella and I spent the rest of the day watching Ratatouille and playing ponies!

Ella giving her pony a hug
She loves her ponies!
I was sitting on the couch talking on the phone with my Mom and Ella was standing next to me..when I looked over at her she had fallen over onto the couch fast asleep!
I made these cute burp rags today...they are super easy and way cute!
(The L is for Lily, but i'm not sure if I like it on there)
And lastly (is that even a word?) I found the piggy bank I want to get for Lily. Ella has a way cute princess pig with a tutu and crown so I had to look really hard for a cute one that was as big as Ella's (like 8 inches tall) You wouldn't think it would be that hard! But anyway, I think this one is WAY cute!

Paper Doll Nativity

On Thanksgiving, Michaels had all their cricut cartridges on sale...I went and got a few and today I finally opened one of them! I got the paper doll one to make dolls for Ella, and it happened to have a nativity scene! I think I'll have them laminated and then put a magnet on the back so she can play with them on the fridge..And this is Ella's new favorite place to sit..in the baby seat!
We just bought the blanket/cover thing and she had to try it out too!

A trip to see Santa

Today we took Ella to see Santa. She was fine to just look at him but when we tried to put her down next to him she freaked, so Joe got to be in the picture too!

Santa Ella and Daddy on the cute ornament we got
These are just pictures of the pictures we got so they aren't the best...

I'm glad we went to the free Santa and didn't have to pay for her to be freaked out! ha
They also had Santa at our Ward Christmas party tonight, but he just told a story and then left, which was fine with Ella!

Tag!

My friend Cassie tagged me on her blog, so here it is!
Put the Fourth Picture from your Fourth Folder on your blog then tag four people.

Of course my picture would be of Ella!
I think she is about 2 months old here..

Okay I tag: Bethany, Mom, Libby, and Jessica

Splish Splash!

Ella loves to take a bath, too bad she's getting too big for hers..
we've never lived in a house that has a bath tub, so she only knows the sink!

I tried to style her hair, ha
