My blog is FULL! It's really my Moms fault, she insists I put lots pictures of the girls on...so instead of paying the $20 a year to keep the same blog, I made a new one..again...so here it is...

Today is our four year anniversary! We started the fun out yesterday by taking Lily and Ella to watch a movie at the dollar theater. Ella loved it! It was her first time to the movie theater, or "big movie" as she calls it. The traditional 4th year gift is fruit and flowers. I had no idea what to do for Joe that had to do with fruit and flowers! I bought myself a mixer attachment for my kitchen aid, that sort of has to do with flour right? ha..so after googling a bit I decided to make Joe one of those edible arrangements. To have one delivered is like $80 bucks! So when my parents got here this morning we headed to walmart and got all the fruit and then my Mom and I assembled this..I think it turned out pretty good! Then I took it to Joes work and he was pretty surprised! ha, it was a slow day at work so a lot of people had gone home by the time I took it up so I don't think he was too embarrassed by it!

Then we all went to Tepanyaki for dinner!

We had never been before and when they brought us the soup we were all like, uh there aren't any spoons..so I told the waitress we didn't get spoons, and she said, "no no, you drink!" ha so we drank! It was really pretty tasty soup!

He formed the rice into a heart for our anniversary

When he first started cooking he put tons of....well i'm not sure what it was but it was flammable! on the table, and then proceded to light it on fire...it made a HUGE fire on the table..Ella screamed and screamed.. she was SO scared of it. The rest of the dinner she was on the look out for more fire, and if she saw it she tried to dive under the table!

This was a small fire..he made a tower of onions and then made like a candle out of it..
then he torched it!

Doing tricks with eggs..this one eventually landed in his hat! When he was all done cooking he went around the table and threw a shrimp to everyone to catch in their mouths. (the wierd thing about this restaurant is that you sit with people you don't know..but it wasn't that weird I guess..) The two other people sitting at our table didn't catch theirs, the first one he tossed at my dad hit him right in the eye! He caught it on the second try..my Mom and Ella hid from the one he tossed at them, and then Ella was mad because he threw something at her, ha. I caught mine first try while holding Lily, skill I know, I don't eat shrimp so I handed it down to my Dad..ha, Joe caught his first try also, and his second one too!

Lily is a bit over 5 months, but I didn't do a 5 month post, so here it is...

Lily has started to love tummy time. Before she would just scream and now she is happy to lay and look around for quite awhile.

She scoots around in a circle on her tummy to get to her toys

She is trying really hard to sit up, but gets way too excited and flops over backwards!

Daddy is trying to teach her to crawl..not to do a flip like it looks!

She really loves chewing on this yellow and pink worm rattle, you can kinda see it in this picture under her leg, its also in the picture above, in her mouth..she loves this toy! When she's in her jumperoo if I shake it, she goes crazy jumping so high and laughing and waving her arms. It's pretty funny.

We went for a walk this afternoon and took some pictures of the girls..we were going to do a family picture but that will have to wait for another day..

Ella was terrified to sit on the fence..for good reason too, about 10 seconds after I snapped this picture she toppled off backwards!

This wall is where we will take our family picture when we go again (much later in the evening when its cooled down a bit!) I wanted to take a test picture to play around with and make sure the lighting looked good, so Joe and Ella posed next to it for me..

On the walk home Ella kept saying, "really cold mama, really cold!" Translation, really hot! ha So when we got to the yard she ran to her pool and hiked up her dress and got in, sandals and all!

Its really weird to be home with just Lily. We've been keeping busy though, first we went to a few stores in the draper outlet mall, then the di (we got Ella a bike with training wheels!) I got a new picture frame the other day and I needed to fill it so I did a little photo shoot with Lily this afternoon.

It's after noon and my girls are still in the p.j.s ....I've been working on these all morning! Now I just need to get some stuffing and they are done! Well I need to draw on faces too. These dolls are so easy and fun, I made these two with random scraps from my sewing drawer..I think I might sew on buttons or make them little aprons, I haven't decided yet..I also saw on one blog where they added pig tails and felt maryjane shoes! I just might have to try those!

We put together Ellas train table today after church. We got a train set from the di but Joe didnt like the way it was suppose to be set up, so he went out to the shop and made some of his own track so he could set it up like he wanted..(I think the train table is more for Joe than Ella)

The train table came with a scenery board, but Joe didnt want to screw the track to it so he made his own board. I had him cut a hole so that Ella could play in the middle. One day I might fix the funky paint job..maybe..

So I take a lot of pictures of my kids, but I was realizing today that I don't take nearly as many pictures of Lily as I did of Ella when she was a baby. With Ella I would have her in three or four different outfits a day taking pictures of her. So here are some pictures of my cute Lily girl!

today she discovered her toes and has been trying to get them to her mouth

She has been rolling over a lot more lately..every time I leave the room, I leave Lily on her back and when I come back, she is on her tummy! I have yet to see her roll over! ha Usually she just rolls to her side so she can check out what Ella is doing, she doesn't really like to be on her tummy!

Tonight we went down to Orem to see Richard for the last time before he goes on his mission. He was getting set apart tonight to become an Elder and enters the MTC tomorrow morning! He is headed to the Eugene, Oregon mission so he could be seeing my parents soon! ha

I had a really bad headache yesterday afternoon that stuck with me most of today too...I got the pictures put up for my Mom but that was all! So now some text to go with the pictures!

Lilys judging was at 9:30 and Ellas wasnt until 2:00, by the time it was Ellas turn she was asleep! So I let her sleep until the last min and then took her over for her turn with the judges, she scowled at them the whole time! ha Poor baby just wanted to sleep!

Today we made Richard a happy cake, thats what Ella calls a birthday cake..

4 month check up

This morning we took Lily for her4 month check up and shots. We've been trying out the doctor that delivered Lily, but this is the 3rd doctors appointment we've been to and we've only been able to see the doctor that delivered her once..each time we have a new doctor..and today we had to wait an hour before we even got into a room..I think we are switching back to our Dr. in Springville! When they gave Lily her shots she didn't even cry! I was amazed! Ella screamed soo loud when she got her shots! She weighs 16 lbs (75th percentile) and is 26 inches (90th percentile) But her head is apparently growing too fast..it went from the 50th up to the 70th percentile or something like that..So the weird doctor we had today is referring us to a specialist at the SLC childrens hospital..I tried to tell the doctor we just have huge heads in my family, but I think we'll go just to be sure she is okay. Or we will take her to our other doctor for a second opinon if insurance doesn't cover the childrens hospital.

The 2 Day Drive Home

On day one we stopped about an hour out of Springfield at the Sahalie falls

We went to the beach again today, it was super windy but we sat behind a big log which blocked it all. I am so burnt..everyone else just tanned up nicely! we have been packing like crazy, its amazing how much stuff i've accumulated over a month! Ella follows me and Joe around and won't let either one of us out of her sight, I think she's afraid she'll get left! Poor baby....we booked a hotel in Ontario with a 24 hour pool, if it has internet i'll post some pictures before we head home!

Lake Fun

Today we took the girls to the lake to play. Ann from my Moms ward invited us to go yesterday and we couldn't go because we already had plans, so I was excited to see all the girls there again today! Ella had a ton of fun playing with all the kids! I have a lot of fun memories of going to the lake when I was little. I think we started going every summer when I was about Ellas age. Hopefully we'll get to visit Florence every summer so Ella can have fun memories of the lake too!

We had a fun filled Memorial Day..We started it off by going to the cemetery and letting Ella put flags on some of the graves. Then we headed to Newport to the Aquarium.

We started off Joes Birthday by going to look for a geo cache that is just at the end of my Moms street in Gallagher park..This is the first geo cache that I actually found!

Today is HOT! We are all sporting small sunburns, luckily my Dad got out some sunscreen for Ella and Lily so they aren't too burnt! The Jr. Parade was today, it seemed a lot smaller than normal but Ella loved the "big crucks" as she calls them (fire trucks)..

We tried to take Ella to the kiwanas games after the parade, but Lily was fussy with my Dad holding her and I couldn't help Ella and hold Lily at the same time so we just left, she was okay with not staying anyway...

She fell asleep when we got in the truck..We drove down Baystreet..it took us 30 min to get from the elementary school, down to baystreet and then back to the house! Its crazy down there!
Her car seat doesn't fit very good in the truck so we just let her use the seat belt..poor baby had no where to rest her head!

A few of the stores on Baystreet have a "garage sale" once a year (I think..) where the first day stuff is 50% off and then each day they take off an additional 10%...today was the last day and everything was 80% off so we went to check out what was left...

I think Lily got a santa dress too...and they both got a cute little pink dress but its been too cold to wear them here! Ella got some fun books and a cute puppy..oh and some way cute tights with rhinestones on them! I got some fun necklaces and a pair of shoes..the most expensive shoes I have ever owned!

My dad came home early today because they broke down..so Ella got to spend most of the afternoon with her Papa. He took her to the park to slide and then out to the dunes to ride the 3 wheeler and play in the sand! She had a fun day!

This morning I looked out the window and saw this black cat playing with a snake.
Ella got really excited.

she only had on her diaper and I figured by the time I got her dressed it would be gone so I wrapped her in a blanket and we ran outside (I think the neighbors think i'm crazy..ha)
when the snake got away from the cat and headed at her she ran! You can't really tell but thats the snake poking its head up onto the sidewalk (I circled it)

After Ella got dressed we went back outside to see if we could find the snake..she is pointing to the two black cats that like to sleep under papas trailer...
at one point she ran into the house yelling, my papa vroom no kitty! over and over again, I looked out the window and the cat was on his 3 wheeler! ha

Taylor came over to play after church. Ella loves her. Taylor liked to pack her around and Ella would just laugh and hug her and try and kiss her face. Ella was so sad when Tay had to go home, she cried until we bribed her with a bath with bubbles..hopefully Tay will get to come play again!

Ella loves taking baths when we come to Grandmas. We don't have a bath tub (we've actually never lived anywhere that has had a bath tub) so she usually takes a shower or a bath in the sink. She really loves taking a bath in the tub though!

I made Lilys bow and bracelet. She was going to wear the same dress as Ella (it was made out of fabric from my Moms wedding dress) but I found this one at the DI and I really liked it, it still had the tags on it so it was brand new and only $3! It looked really similar to the one I wanted to get from Gymboree which was over $70, so I was pretty excited to find it!

3 Months

In 5 days Lily will be 3 months old! She is such a good, sweet baby. She loves her big sister and smiles when ever she sees her. She sleeps all night and takes lots of 20 min naps during the day. She is always blowing raspberrys with her lips and making bubbles. She loves to have you help her stand so she can look around. She likes to watch grandma and grandpas dog. She hates hats but will humor her Mama and wear hairbows (but she doesn't like it!) She has quite a bit of hair (way more than Ella had at this age) She is such a happy baby and loves to be held. When she lays on the floor she can roll to her side, but mostly she kicks with her feet and arches her back to scoot herself backwards..no more laying on the couch unsupervised! We leave for Oregon on Monday so I figured I should do her three month post before we leave and get busy visiting with family and friends!

Dinner at the Mayan with Uncle Mike

We went out to dinner tonight at the Mayan. We were planning on taking Mike out and leaving the girls with Grandpa Phil, but with Grandma Libby not feeling good we decided to take them with us...so we picked the Mayan so Ella would be entertained. She loved it! The appetizer and dessert was amazing, the actual food, not my favorite but still okay..we had a great table and Ella could sit in her chair and watch the divers and waterfalls while we ate and chatted. We were so close that as the divers jumped the water flew off their wet bodies and hit us in the face, so nasty..I guess that's the price you pay to have your 2 year old entertained while you eat! ha

Rainy Day

It was rainy and wet all day. I put Ella in her raincoat and boots and let her play in the yard. I wanted to get some fun pictures but Lily was wanting to be held so I didn't get very good pictures, I did get two of Ella (while holding and bouncing Lily so they aren't the best).
Its suppose to rain again tomorrow so we'll try again!

Ella is growing so fast. It seems like every month I have to go through her clothes and put away stuff that doesn't fit anymore, shoes are the worst..she has like 10 pairs of shoes in her basket and they are all too small..she is in a size 7 now! So I spent a good part of my day bagging up clothes that she has outgrown (good excuse to go to the di!) .. we took 2 big bags to the di and I only came out with one bag! ha Lily got the cutest new jammies, I need to take a picture, they have a cute buttflap..and Ella got some new Sunday dresses (all Gymboree!) I sure will miss the DI if we ever move out of Utah!

Happy Easter Bunny Day!

Growing up the Easter bunny always came on the Saturday before Easter. That way we have Sunday to remember and celebrate the Atonement and Resurrection of Jesus Christ... So we've kept with that tradition and this morning we made a path of Easter eggs from Ellas room into the living room, where the Easter bunny left her a basket!

She was so excited about the eggs, that it took her awhile to see the basket on the couch!

Ella LOVES horses so instead of an Easter bunny she got a stuffed horse (Di find!)
and I found this cute display shelf with 12 different horses on ebay for .99cents! Gotta love ebay!

We took Ella to an egg hunt at Draper Park this morning. She was really excited to get the eggs, but as soon as the horn went off to get them, it was crazy! I think she got like 3 eggs, most of the parents helped there kids a lot, but we didn't want candy(she only got one chocolate bunny in her easter basket too, what mean parents I know..she did get fruit snacks though!) at the house so we just let her do her thing. She was more excited to show some lady her candy then to put it in her basket, ha. Here she is before the madness!

Tonight when Joe got home from work we took his GPS and went in search of some geocaches (I don't really know how to explain what they are..random containers with stuff in them?) There is a website where you can see where they are located..and there just happened to be two within walking distance from our house..we might get some wooden coins made with our name on it to put in the ones we find, if we're going to be nerdy, may as well go all out eh?

Between conference sessions we took Ella to an Easter thing at toysrus..it was pretty lame. They gave her a bag and then she walked to a few tables and each table had something they put in her bag..kinda like trick or treating..she got a marker and some play dough and candy..she had fun looking at all the toys though!

..Wait! I've got a better plan to catch this big red lobster man let's pop him in a boiling pot and when he's done we'll butter him up! Kidnap the sandy claws throw him in a box, bury him for 90 years then see if he talks......Ella has been watching the nightmare before Christmas and I just heard those lyrics coming from the other room, ha..what a weird movie..
I'm surprised she isn't scared! Ella has been grumpy today, she has a runny nose and I don't think she feels very good..so I don't have any pictures of her but here are some of my happy baby!

She was really excited to see the bunny...until Joe put her on the bunnys lap

After we made her sit on the bunny she was really nervous even being around it! ha

We were going to take Ella to build a bear but it was CRAZY so we just walked the mall..
Burger King had this play with your food thing going on so we stopped and got Ella free easy mac and apple fries, she got to color and then do a relay race (there is a video of it at the end)..much more fun the build a bear and even better.. free!

Tomorrow we are taking the girls to see the Easter bunny at the mall..right now Ella is pretty excited, so I hope she stays that way and doesn't freak out! We are going to the farther away mall because the easter bunny at the South Towne mall freaks me out, so I don't want it to scare Ella! I was kinda bummed when I found out the Provo mall wasnt doing the easter bunny this year. We've taken ella there every year and its fun to see the same bunny/background with Ella a year older, but hopefully it will be close! AND next Saturday(Mom can you help me remember!!) we get to take her to see the Budweiser Clydesdales at Wal-Mart and she will be soo excited to see them! I don't have anything else..and the video is not done uploading..guess i'll go to bed and post in the mornin!

Lily is just over 2 months and had her 2 month check this morning (which was unscheduled and kinda crazy because I had a dentist appointment at 12:00! (her dr. appointment was at 10:45 but they are never quick! I was only a few min late so i guess its all good...) anyhoo she is 24 inches and weighs 12lbs 120z...for height she's in the 97th percentile and for weight was in the 70 something percentile..she had to get three shots, and drink one (which i thought was really weird because Ella never had one like that) I guess it was the rotovirus one or something new..I think her shots are bothering her more then Ellas did when she was a baby, Lily has just wanted to be held and eat all afternoon! Poor baby..but it gave me an excuse not to clean and finish my book, which was really pretty good (The Magicians and Mrs. Quent) Tonight we are going to the Library for some Zoo thing, not sure exactly what that will be but I will post pictures when we get home!

I've been looking to buy a digital SLR since I took a photography class with Jessica last year (was it last year?maybe two..) anyway I've been looking for a good deal, and yesterday when I checked my ebay messages I had a 10% off any item! But I had to decide which camera to get and buy it that day! (the coupon was only good for St. Patricks day) So I spent all day looking at the different ones...I read a lot of reviews about the nikon d60 and the canon rebel xs (the two in the price range i could afford!) and basically they are the same..so I went with what one looked better! I liked the smooth lines of the canon and I found an awesome kit that came with lenses and all sorts of stuff that the nikon didn't..and Joes cousin had a canon rebel at the funeral and she said she really liked it...soo here it is!

(Now I just have to wait a week for it to get here!)

Saturday was Phils birthday, but since they had a dance competition all day we had a dinner on Sunday. I made these which are super good and pretty easy to make.

We got Phil a gift certificate to his favorite tool store, harbor freight (of course while we were there to get it Joe had to get himself some presents too...haha)

Dance Sport Championships

This weekend was the National Amateur Dance Championships at BYU. Joes little brothers all dance so we get to go to this every year. Its a fun day spent with family!
(And it was Papa Phils birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! we are having a family dinner/party tomorrow)
